#24 To the men and women who Just do their job in the military. What ever you may be doing is more than I had the guts to do. I cannot take back time to join but I can damn sure thank you every chance I get. My son tells me he is JUST doing his job no big deal. If any military reads this , it's a big deal to me! Thank you Brigade for bringing this to all of us, once again thank God for the US military.

Sir Marine Dad. We appreciate you personal sacrifice and service to our country as well. I know it can't be easy worrying about him thanks again

      • http://twitter.com/pezatsea @pezatsea

Well said on both counts. Thank you Marine Dad. I'm sure it's not easy worrying about your son all the time. He certainly has it harder than me just by being in the Marines. I've been in the Navy over 18 years now and I can't believe it. I'm the same way, I always feel like I'm just doing my job.
        Have a good one!

        • Marine Dad

I work with a Marine and Navy Vet, worked with an Army vet. All say the same. I do my job too, except I don't get shot at, I'm not at sea at Christmas, my home is not a cramped bunk on a ship or in a wet sandy tent. Thank you Jeremy for your sacriface and your families'. This country owes you, it does not matter if you see combat or not you are fighting for me and mine and you have no idea who I am. I will tell you like I tell my son and his Marine family, Thank You for doing your job!

  • Mike

#8- great pic, but how bout you try donning your s.c.b.a.
No need to be taking in that kind of smoke, enough of us die from cancer as it is.

    • lieutenant1833

thanks for the concern mike. the photographer caught me at bad moment…i was on my knee starting to mask up when the wind dropped the smoke on top of me and my crew who are further in the cloud…this is me trying to back out of the smoke and in mid stride if i recall correctly.

I bet Larry Dunkle doesn't feel important to the cause mopping floors. He would be so far from the truth. Truth is he keeps his fellow sailors safe and healthy from desease.. He keeps the place presentable. It keeps up attitude, pride and morale on the ship. can't fight a war without a clean ship. Thanks to all The men and women of the armed services.
