    Well, there was the russian screw tank, the giant wheel tank, and the flying tank. Why not a hovering tank?

    Hover vehicles (tanks) have never made it in the military because of some fatal weaknesses – all of them involving mobility.

    They're great on flat ground, water of low swanp – as long as there's no serious cross wind.

    They are useless as frames for support vehicles, cannot climb worth a damn, and can be stopped cold by a rocky or heavily trench field.

    Don't get them going too fast, as the brakes DO NOT EXIST.

    its actually caleld the Cadillac WTF (World Thorium Fuel). Dead serious. It’s obviously a concept car, but I don’t think they’ll end up producing it. But if you just google Cadillac WTF, you can find more info.
