when a seal dies. at his funeral all the men he serves will take their tridents off and pound them into the casket and he is buried with them. probably one of the saddest things ive ever seen. if you watch act of valor there is a funeral in that and you can see it.

    • Nick Donovan says:

Not every SEAL gets this honor. Only SEALs who have proven themselves above and beyond and/or have sacrificed his life for his teams safety get this treatment.

  4. dustin says:

all the pictures with the dudes with guns on the boats are SWCC (special warfare combatant craft crewman). they are known as the navys best kept secret, and thats why no one knows about them. the training is similar to bud/s but not as intensive. but still some of that most badass mother fuckers i know.

  5. Scooter 23C1 says:

Just to clarify the ambiguity. There is only one Special Forces Regiment. They are known as the Green Berets and broken down into 5 active groups and 2 guard groups. The term Special Forces relates directly to that unit. That is why they are the only unit to earn and wear the tab. The term Special Operations Unit applies to all units that act in that manner and are subordinate to Special Operations Command. Ranger Battalion, SEALS, Air Force PJ/TACP/CCT, MARSOC, EOD, DEVGRU, 160th etc. are all Special Operations Units, but not Special Forces.

#60 I would have to agree and disagree at the same time. VERY few get to call themselves SEALs, they earn every bit of it and are lucky in that sense. They are also unlucky because of the fact they have to go do the most dangerous job America has to offer (that we know about).

If you could, could you do a post on the Canadian Search and Rescue Technician (SAR Tech) guys? They have a hell of a job to do all over Canada's ground an oceans.

you should do one one the pedros all together. Which is USAF CSAR it includes aerial gunners and flight engineers as well who rarely get any recognition over PJs. Check out Pedro66 which went down in Afghanistan.
