Tell that to the soldiers in the navy nuke program. Go back to your retail management job troll.

The support is nice but please don't call us soldiers. In the Navy, we are Sailors.

Wow. That had to take time. Great job. Plus finding army men that wasnt green had to be a pain : )

I'm a veteran and I would say that a "soldier" in no way represents what America is fundamentally about. This plastic toy soldier abomination is a waste of time and product of arrested development.

    • OK Chiver

GMX, I too am a veteran, a 23 year veteran, no a Soldier does not represent what America is, a Soldier DEFENDS what America is. I would guess you went in to either get college money or pay off college and actually had to do something that you thought you would not have to do (saw to many like you). You will never understand the life, so don't hurt yourself and try, but do not tear down people that show their support.

Thank you for your service. I feel that in the current times how ever someone chooses to display patriotism is great.

    • tyrel

Indeed, If only he had put the time, money and effort in supporting veterans…

      • ImpressMe

He did put alot of time and effort into supporting Veterans….and how do you know what he does with his money? What exactly have you done?

gmx….are you now? really? Because you sound like a poseur with a big mouth.

    • gmx

Yeah I never thought of myself as a troll but I guess it was trollish behaviour. Somebody puts their heart and soul into a project and they shouldn't have to listen to someone ridicule it. Just because I have a different viewpoint doesn't mean I should inflict it on others.

  • ImpressMe

Nicely done, without soldiers there would be no USA. So many have forgotten that….

So many trolls on Chive today…

  • Peter Morak

Hope those toys soldiers are also made in the USA!

I would guess so, since it stated that the soldiers were individually hand cast. Would guess that he cast them himself.

Let him support the best way he can, who knows the cost or the length of time. and more importantly, who cares. He is showing a little pride in this country and for the soldiers and sailors that defend it and his right to do this. I personally think it is quite symbolic!
